Keith,
You and I are on precisely the same page! your analysis is direct, succinct and heart felt. Like you I am sad to see so many Christians with such a cold heart towards ANY of GOD's children. Let us pray together for more compassion and kindness in this sinful world! Please feel free to comment on some of the other articles that I am certain will interest you!
Blessings to you and yours!!

We have been inundated with prominent Christians supporting, or at least leaning toward accepting, homosexuality. I do not hate gay people and I would never do anything hateful or hurtful to anyone for being gay. It's disgusting that many Christians spew hateful speech toward gays. But this issue has become prominent in society and it is one that easily illustrates a real issue I see in the church today.

There are really just two main points to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One is that because of Adam's disobedience we are all born into corruption and sin. Because of that, we are all born with tendencies toward sin of one kind or another. The second point of the Gospel is, and this really is the good news, that through the blood of Jesus and His resurrection from the dead, we can receive deliverance from that corruption -- not just in name, but in fact. All those sins that we are prone to can be removed from our beings if we are willing to accept it.

What makes me sad about all this is that Christians seem to be rejecting both points. In this debate about homosexuality, those prominent leaders who come out in favor of homosexuality are saying that God made them this way. If God made them this way, it must be good. If it's good then it is not corrupt. And since they are saying that they are not born in corruption, they are saying that they do not need, or are not looking for, the deliverance that comes from Christ. They want to accept and joy in "the way God made them." And this we do, not just with homosexuality, but with all the other selfishness, sins and perversions we are not willing to let go.

But my point is not to come down on anyone or their sin. I am here to say that God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to not only save us from the penalty of sin, but also to deliver us in this life from these corruptions and sins we were born with. It would be my desire that we all come to this knowledge so we all can have lives that are full of the righteousness, peace and joy that comes from the Holy Spirit.

What does it matter which sin you list? If you are not Born Again, giving your life to Christ and loving His children you are just an unsaved sinner. Turn from man's wisdom, get into His Word and find peace and hope through the Word, Jesus Christ.

Minister Jackson,
I am deeply moved by your words of encouragement. My intention is not to tell anyone what is true or false; as my mind is far too weak to be an authority on anything! I simply want to express to the general public the thoughts GOD has placed in my heart as best as my abilities can. My blog articles therefore are really not looking for agreement or disagreement but just to have my readers think....... that is all. GOD will, if HE sees fit, take it from there. I am just doing what I believe HE wants me to do; it's really that simple.
Thank you so much for your time and response.
If I can do anything for you; just holler!
Kind Personal Regards
Larry, First thank you for your comment! I really appreciate it. If I gave the impression that I have the answer, then I apologize. I especially have no intention of changing anyone's interpretation of scripture. Whatever is true to your mind is true for you. Obviously, you must admit that not everyone on this planet will agree with your interpretation; and that's fine. Stick to your guns, if that is what your heart is telling you to do! As that is what I am doing! We are not enemies! Blessings to you and yours and thanks again!

Read the scriptures. There is no difference between homosexuals having sex than heterosexuals having sex. They are both committing fornication if they are not married. Which the scriptures say will keep one from entering the kingdom. Sex has nothing to do with love and compasion. The scriptures say marriage is between a man and a women.
Any other teachings are man's teachings and not Gods. "hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?" " we speak not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth , but which the Holy Ghost teacheth".

Not my words but the word of God.
