The Future of the Republican Party

The Future of the Republican Party

For all my young adult readers, and even us older folks, I would love to hear your opinion on where you see the future of the Republican Party heading.

Let's start with the fact that the minority population in our great country will continue to increase and become more and more a factor in future elections. With the Republicans losing Latino voters, mostly due to their cold-hearted stance against immigration and since the Black vote will never go with them to any significant degree, how can they win any national office?

Add to that the increasing polarization spewing from their best known speakers like Limbaugh, Cheney and Palin, turning off many centrist independent people, the only hope for them, in my opinion, is the Democrats themselves imploding in a sea of corruption and incompetence; which of course is a real distinct possibility, and actually happening now. The problem with this is that they cannot exploit that because they are aware that people in glass houses should not throw stones, meaning of course that any attempt to take advantage of Democratic ethics will surely backfire, due to their own lack of ethics.

As a last resort, playing the race and fear cards with new creative ingenuity remains their only option; and something they excel at; regardless of the harm done to the future of our society.

Finally, they've had eight years of their auto-robotic position of cutting taxes and spending only to wind up creating the environment that nearly collapsed our economy.

WHAT SAY YOU??
